Blue Chintz Bib Apron, V&A Museum
Blue Chintz Bib Apron. Direct from the V&A Museum in London, designed by British botanical designer, William Kilburn (1745-1818), this apron is fully functional with an adjustable strap around the neck, and a full front pocket.
The floral design featured on this kitchen textile can be found in an album of 223 water-colour drawings produced by Kilburn during the 1780’s and ‘90s for muslin chintz. The Kilburn Album is unique and now housed at the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London.
