Van Gogh, Irises Salt & Pepper Shaker Set
Van Gogh, Irises Salt & Pepper Shaker Set. Set the table with a beloved work of art from The Met collection. Shown in close-up detail on these porcelain salt and pepper shakers are brushstrokes from Irises by Vincent van Gogh.
These images of the Irises are one of four lush still lifes that Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890) completed in 1890, prior to his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy in the South of France. Both "Irises" and "Roses" in The Met Collection were once owned by the artist's mother.
