His iconic 1876 wallpaper pattern, Pimpernel, features a complex, mirrored composition of dramatic, swirling tulips intertwined with willow leaves and small, delicate pimpernel wildflowers. This botanical pattern was a personal favorite of Morris, who famously chose it to decorate the walls of his own dining room at Kelmscott House.
