The traditional “tea towel” earliest beginnings can be traced to the 18th century in England, when they were only used to wipe clean China tea sets, keep a teapot warm, and cover nibbles and cookies. Today, from their practical use as kitchen / tea towels for drying hands and dishes, to making a beautiful holiday gift, to keeping bread warm on the table, tea towels, or, the modern day tea towel or torchons, as the French say do it all.

For a Bit of Whimsy…
Garnier-Thiebaut generally releases at least 2 towels for the Christmas season. For those who fancy the traditional colors of Christmas, the French jacquard towel, Christmas Pickup is a good choice.
