Tea Forté, Loose Leaf Tea Canister - Organic Earl Grey Tea
Tea Forté's Earl Grey is an exceptional blend of stunningly superb Organic Assam tea leaves infused with cold-pressed Italian Bergamot oil from the citrus fruit grown in Calabria, Italy. Considered to be one of the most popular teas in the West, and likely the most popular flavored tea in the world, Tea Forté made this an even greater grey with a sprinkling of organic cornflowers to create a rich, full-bodied cup for those who enjoy their tea with milk for the perfect classic.

Earl Grey is a classic English tea time treat. Traditionally it is served with twist of lemon or a bit of sugar. However, it can also be taken with a touch of milk and honey (just remember, milk and lemon together will curdle!). Earl Grey is equally well suited for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or anytime that a warming cup would satisfy.

Perfect year-'round.

About Tea Forté's Earl Grey Teas

The natural citrus oil is pressed from the peel of the Bergamot citrus fruit and gives Earl Grey its distinctive taste and aroma. Bergamot is a small citrus fruit with a protruding nub like a navel orange. Earl Grey tea is flavored with oil made from bergamot peel, and has a distinctive taste loved by many. Earl Grey tea is named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey and Prime Minister of England from 1830-1834. Legend has it that he received bergamot flavored tea as a gift after one of his men had rescued the son of a Chinese mandarin from drowning.

Why choose loose leaf tea?
Loose leaf tea is precisely what it sounds like: tea that comes to the kitchen loose, without the confinement of a single-serving bag or infuser. Much like a bulk spice, grain, or salt you might bring home from your local market, loose leaf teas are meant to be measured by hand during the preparation process, which typically takes place with a pot and strainer, a metal or silicone infuser, or a tea press (i.e., a French press used for tea).
