About Nathaniel Currier
Nathaniel Currier (American, 1813–1888) gained lasting fame as co-principal of Currier & Ives (with James Ives), renowned in the latter half of the nineteenth century for their wildly popular lithographic prints. Their firm was a celebrated New York printmaking firm renowned for their wildly popular portrayals of historical events, political satires, and pleasant scenes from everyday life.
